Participating From a Distance With »Images Through an Algorithmic Lens«

From May 14 through June 21, 2020 the small format edition of Images through an Algorithmic Lens – Zur Visualisierung der Wirklichkeit, 2018-19 is presented within the exhibition Moments at the Kunstverein Speyer e. V. organized by the Künstlerbund Speyer e. V.

Small format edition of Images through an Algorithmic Lens – Zur Visualisierung der Wirklichkeit at the Kunstverein Speyer e. V. in 2020. The size of the original large-format edition is at 200-240 x 160 cm (all images © Elias Wessel and VG Bild-Kunst Bonn, 2020)

Images Through an Algorithmic Lens are digital photographs taken within »panorama mode«. Incorrectly executed the algorithm can‘t process the captures in its intended way. The results are automatically generated, complex and cubistic images of landscapes and urban areas.
