Kunstsammlung des Deutschen Bundestages [Art Collection of the German Bundestag]

Artworks from Sprung in die Zeit (2014) and Images Through an Algorithmic Lens – Zur Visualisierung der Wirklichkeit (2018-19) are part of new acquisitions by the Art Collection of the German Bundestag 2020-21. Amongst others the art collection includes works by Georg Baselitz, Joseph Beuys, Christo, Hans Haacke, Jenny Holzer, Elsworth Kelly, Anselm Kiefer, Imi Knoebel, Sigmar Polke, Neo Rauch and Gerhard Richer. Members of the Acquisitions Commission 2017 to 2021 are Ulrike Groos, Kunstmuseum Stuttgart; Anna-Catharina Gebbers, Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart; Friedrich Meschede, until the end of 2019 Kunsthalle Bielefeld and Roland Nachtigäller, Museum Marta Herford. Dr. Andreas Kaernbach, curator of the collection and head of the department »Art in the German Bundestag«, is responsible for organizing the work of the Art Advisory Council as its secretary.
